Protein-fat-carb goals = can’t reach

Hello,
Having trouble reaching the carbs and protein goals, since I hit my calorie max before I reach these; it’s like the goal on grams is too highvs the total calories/day... anyone else have this issue?

Not really. You should double check the database entries you're using.

Are you exceeding fat enough that it's using up calories you'd rather get in protein and carbs?

Are you off by a lot or just a few grams?

Are you double checking that the entries you are choosing in the database contain accurate info? Most of the entries are user created and they can be wrong or incomplete.

check your food entries - I find frequent ones where the calories don't add up to the c/p/f listed

definitely the entries. I have had moments where it was all way off - then realised the entry I had chosen didn't actually have the macros, just total calories.

You got to love entries with no macros.

The only legitimate reason I could think of that you would be at your calories but under carbs, fat, and protein is alcohol consumption. Alcohol has calories that are not either of those three. So if you are consuming multiple servings of alcohol a day, that would be a reason.

If not alcohol, then as other have said, it is likely a database error. Check your items and make sure they have proper macros. Carbs and proteins are 4 calories a gram, and fat is 9 calories a gram. So your calories from those three should add up to the total calories (within a couple of calorie margin of error due to rounding).

ETA: fiber is sometimes counted as 2 calories so that could throw math off a little bit bit if anything, that should make your macros more, not less than your calorie goal.
