Scale giving me two different numbers

So when I first stepped on my scale this morning I was 3lbs heavier than I was like 2 or 3 days ago,but then I stepped on it again and it was what my weight was 2-3 days ago. I did move my scale to my room (and didnt get in it again until today in my room) as my cats were jumping all over it, my room has hardwood floor as my bathroom has tile floor. I double checked in both my bathroom and bedroom again and its still the weight I was 2 days ago so which reading should I take? its a digital scale by the way

I'd take the one you got twice. Although it doesn't truly matter, as weight loss is a function of time. I can easily fluctuate a few pounds in 2 or 3 days while still trending downward. Make sure your scale is on a level surface, and best to choose a spot and leave it.

If you find it’s repeatable I the certain spot, I think I’d use that. If it’s not repeatable you might consider a new scale or perhaps it just needs a fresh battery. My cats managed to leave a piece of kibble under it and it messed with my weight. Luckily, it was enough i knew something was wrong. Sounds like you’ve already ruled south like that out.

    Good luck!

@pinuplove is right. The bolded part is what matters. Don't worry about the scale day to day....
