Is milk a good hydration source?

Sorry for this non mfp post, I have nobody else to ask and google is not very clear.

Obviously I know the best source of hydration is water and normally its not an issue but today my daughter is flat out refusing it. I've tried adding a bit of fruit juice but she still doesn't want it.

Shes asking for milk and has already drank 300ml this morning.
She's just getting over a bad cold so I'm thinking it may be her body needs something in the milk and thats why shes repeatedly asking for it.

Normally she has a milkshake with breakfast and then plain water the rest if the day.
Rarely wants juice.

    It will help hydrate her.

Since she's getting over an illness, I'd give her whatever she'll drink.

Milk is mostly water, so it’s probably better for rehydrating, as it has protein, vitamins and minerals. I wouldn’t worry, but calling your clinic to confirm may help for your peace of mind.

P.S. hydration comes from any drink and a lot of foods

Milk is 88% water, according to USDA data. It's definitely a good source of hydration. :)
