trying to stay on track

First of all, let me say I am not following any one diet. I am trying to eat healthier overall and looking at EVERYTHING I eat and trying to make healthier choices. I do watch my calories and I am trying to avoid or limit certain things that I know do not make me feel good. I'm also trying to be more active. I got a Planet Fitness membership and I have a treadmill at home and some other small things at home to use, such as hand weights, balance ball, etc. What I lack is motivation, mostly because (I think) my goal is kind of small and it's hard to lose that last 15 pounds. How many are with me?? I really want to lose the 15 to slim down, lose the bloat and tone up. I'd like my arms to be stronger so when I go to PF I focus on the machines that work my arms, abs and legs. Sometimes I do cardio there, like elliptical. Anyone else who is doing similar things and would like to be buddies, just send me a request. I'd love to "meet" other like-minded people so we can encourage each other and motivate each other. I always appreciate practical tips and tricks I can use. I'm trying to blog once or twice a week here. I'm also trying to track my food as much as I can. Nice to meet everyone! :)

I started mid December and lost 20 lb here as of last week. Just stick to the counting and use a food scale! If you add your cardio into MFP, consider a heart rate monitor because treadmills overestimate calories burned.

This sounds like a plan, I’ll send a request! I like the idea of having a community to help achieve goals big or small.

I have about 13 lbs to go to reach my goal weight or reassess. Up until last week, I wasn't taking it as seriously as I should be and still wondering why I wasn't dropping weight. I was still carrying around the extra vacation weight from November. This week I got serious. I moved more and kept track of every calorie that went into my mouth. Guess what? I dropped 1.6 lbs. You've got this! It's not motivation you need, it's discipline. Wash, rinse, repeat.
