I'd definitely travel for the UK pals, but it'd be impossible to meet the 'Merican buddies!

Would we have a buffet and all ignore it?

    That comment it brilliant! LOL

The buffet could consist of energy bars, protein shakes and salads... and chocolate ice cream. Have to have some chocolate ice cream.

I've met 14 or 15 so far. It's always been awesome. Mainly because of the orgy...

In all seriousness, I would go if it was a well organized event that had some sort of planned activities, ie a 5k run/walk or something along those lines. Or something more like a convention even would be cool. I would definitely like to meet some of the peeps from on here. I have hosted LAN parties in the past with people I've met from online, so I'm not "weirded out" by the idea.

Anarchy...death and destruction. Emaciated vegans, the dirty "if it fits" eaters dead on arrival from a heart attack, the clean eaters would be decapitated from sniffing their own flatulence, the low carbers wouldnt have the energy to even get up from the table, and the paleos would be drawing pictographs on the walls thinking they were living in a cave meanwhile dying of infection and cougar attacks.

PS-there better be more on that buffet table then damn protein bars and shakes!

You would think twice about this once you meet me and find yourself magically transported to a dungeon (AKA: basement)

I've met two people on here. I've talked to a few on the phone. I've Skyped with a couple. I would buy dinner for anyone on my friends list if we were in the same place at the same time, and I would travel for a meet-up if several of us could make it work. I probably would not do a huge, random MFP meet-up just because I'm not going to travel to meet a bunch of people I don't have any kind of relationship with, but the people on my FL, sure.

I've done it already via Skype, it was kind of neat, but I was kind of nervous too. I am way more outgoing online than in real person. I am an introvert by nature.

I found one of MFPs was located in my city. We have gotten together to walk and chat before. And I certainly do it again. But if you mean in terms of a male-female get together, I'm married, but if I was single, I suppose I might consider it.

I would but, i am pretty sure it will end up an orgy.

I don't see the problem with this.

If it turned into an orgy some person is going to be like "How do I log this?"

That totally sounds like it'd be hilarious to observe. And damn straight there better be more than protein bars and shakes. If there ain't bacon or ice cream, count me out!

How many calories burned doing 4 people at once?

Does the dungeon at least have free weights?

Ok, was just going to be the silent majority, but felt I had to make some comments.

Something like this would be extremely hard to plan considering all the different types of folks we have on here.

I might attend something like this if it was in my home town/region (and I live in a rural area). Not willing to travel much distance at all, my vacation time is used for family not virtual friends who I may or may not have something in common with. And long travel is difficult for me.

I have a very small friend list (online and in person) and I am just not a social butterfly.

Large groups of folks have a tendency to wierd me out after an extended period of time.

If there are not activities I AM interested in, why would I attend? Not into heavy lifting or high cardios, my disabilities just do not allow me to do those types of things anymore. Get me out sports fishing or kayaking and I am in like flynn.

I am married (very happily) and not into the orgy sugestions (or one on ones).

Food; would have to be something I am interested in and within my dietitay needs. High Proteins, low carbs and lots of veggies.

For those that are into what I am hearing so far, I will support you in any virtual way I can :-)
