Apple Watch and exercise cals

Hello all. I recently started back with MFP, and in the interim I got a series 2 Apple Watch. When I used to log all the time I had a Fitbit-and I had MFP setup to give negative calories if I wasn’t very active. Is there a way to do it with the Apple Watch. I have the “health” app synced and it adds my workout, but if I am lazy one day I really want the negative calorie adjustment. Thanks for the help

Apple Watch and MFP don’t play nice.
Exercise logs will get sent over, but your adjustment won’t actually be using your Total calories burned from Apple Watch. So unlike Fitbit, you might actually end up with a negative when you should see a positive. Example: Tuesday I should have had 4 extra calories from my adjustment (Apple Total Burn - (MFP Activity + Exercise calories) = 4), but instead I am losing 67 calories. If exercise logs don’t get sent over the difference between what MFP says I should eat and what Apple Watch says my total burn is can end up being 1000+ calories. It was definitely a shock when I switched from Fitbit to MFP.
Some people have luck syncing Apple to Pacer and Pacer to MFP. I couldn’t get it to work though.
Some people look at the average of their total calories burned from the previous week and manually set their goal on MFP to be 250-500 under that average burn.

Thanks for the reply- I’ll just have to keep a mental tally going on my days off of work and when I don’t workout. I guess Fitbit was just better suited for MFP. I’ll try pacer and see if it works.0

There are other calorie counters that work with Apple Watch without a problem (I tried a bunch after I found out). Just not this one. I log in another app now, but still stick around MFP for the community.1 -
