Figuring out how to calculate calories? How?

Ok I’m horrible at math in general. Some things I cook, I am unsure how many servings something is, like say mashed potatoes. Normally I add the ingredients to taste (in my case the vegan butter and soy milk). I know the serving size but not sure how to figure out the calories. Is there a trick to it? TIA! ☺️🧐🥔

I use the recipe builder, log all the ingredients, weigh the final result then use that to weight out my portion.0

It is best to weigh and measure everything. This way yuu know how much of everything you are putting into it. A lot of people struggle with just "eyeballing" portion sizes.0

Weigh everything and put all the ingredients into the recipe builder here. If you took 1/5 of the recipe as a serving, then that's 20% of the calories. It doesn't matter what the typical serving is as much as how much of it you ate.0 -
Ok so basically I need a kitchen scale. Thanks guys! 🙂2
