Anyone here use a good Body Mass Scale?
I am looking for a good scale. that could sync WIFI to Training Peaks and Garmin?
Scale that does weight and fat % etc. That is accurate to use and is compatiable to fitness apps.
Recommendations please

None of the scales will be very accurate for body mass. The tech just isn't reliable.

I have been using a Withings scale for many years and still really like it. It doesn't directly sync with Garmin but I have it working via MPF to Garmin. Not sure how the new ones stack up (since the company has been bought and sold twice since I got my scale) but I think they are still worth a look.

I bought a body fat scale from Etekctiy. I really like it.the scale works great! Excellent app with all accurate measurements. I also bought with a code ESF37OFF15 here, share with you stealthily. ;) but i don't know whether it works or not, just have a try. here is the link https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07GQF1V66

I too use Withings I think it’s under Nokia health mate app now though. I sync it to my iPhone and in turn the app syncs to MFP and Apple health kit and Happy scales.

Only benefit of most of these scales is the ability to automatically sync your weigh-ins with your online accounts. All other measurements are fairly worthless (save for BMI, which is a canned calculation based on height and weight anyway).

BF%, etc. will always be inaccurate on an absolute basis and will invariably trend with your weight so you can't even say that they're useful to see relative changes.

I have the Garmin and don't recommend it. Too hard to zero out and too clunky to use on an ongoing basis.

Just get a basic scale for weight and save your $ for another fitness activity

I agree the body mass measurements are going to be a bit off, however I do find I’m getting a downward trend with the BM measurements. So even if the numbers are wrong, surely in theory the BM is going down? Or up in some cases. Mine is fairly consistent numbers being close and steadily decreasing.

It's gone back to withings

I like Withings because of the reliable sync. I haven't entered my weight for a couple of years now, it just syncs automatically with all the apps I have connected to it. Since I use a trending app, I weigh daily. Entering my weight daily was a minor annoyance that I don't have to deal with anymore.

I have not found a domestic scale yet which is reasonably accurate. Might have to do with my weight (started on 170 kg) and I haven't seen a scale which goes higher then 140 / 150 kg. I only weigh myself at the gym - they have got an electronic scale, which is re - calibrated 4 times a year. The old mechanical balance scales were very precise but sadly not available any longer.

Your BM measurements will surely go down as you lose weight. The problem is that the scale doesn't really know if you're losing fat or muscle since the technology simply isn't that good. In the long term it will default to show BM measurements trending more or less in line with weight. Or if there is a trend difference between weight and BM measurements, it won't be terribly accurate.
