Weight and inches

Hi all. I’m 5’1 and current between 124 and 126. I lost 20 pounds and have been maintaining for the last year. I’d like to lose another 8-10. However, while my weight is pretty steady, I’m gaining inches. My 28” waist pants are starting to get tight. It’s been like this for several weeks I have a pretty sedentary lifestyle and walk when I can. Thoughts?

If your not gaining weight, just wait and getting tighter, check your posture.
Poor posture can weaken your abdominal muscles, make you bend forward compressing the spine and abdominal cavity, and with weak abdominals provide less support for your organs. All this can make the waist thicker.
Work on good posture when sitting. This may mean correcting your posture frequently during the time you are at work or driving, and makin sure you are not slouching while watching TV etc.
When you go for walks make a concerted effort to walk with good posture. There are plenty of YouTube videos on this.
You may benefit from moving out of your sedentary lifestyle and adding some strength training and cardio.
From personal experience I can maintain a nice 26” waist if I include regular exercise that engages my abs on a daily basis. A couple of weeks of no exercise (hello recent cruise) and I easily ballon upto a jiggly 27” that looks a lot bigger.
Cheers, h.5
