Anyone know why BodyCombat is coming up as less calories than kickboxing? Just curious...

It's all just estimates and kickboxing can mean different things to different people, but my guess would be that kickboxing generally means you are making contact with something. In BodyCombat, you just punch/kick the air. BodyCombat is my favorite group exercise class, but I could definitely tell a difference in effort when I took a boxing class using the punching bag/pads.0

People probably imputed it incorrectly.
Cardio Kick boxing - is cardio work done on the floor, like a dance (Zumba'ish).
Kick boxing - with a heavy bag, mitts, and other exercises like jumping rope.
Boxing means sparring.0 -
That helps! Thanks! The kickboxing class I took was essentially like BodyCombat. Next time, I’ll just put it in as that... that way I won’t overestimate my calorie output like I did the other day...0
