Anyone use a pedal bike at work?

Desk jobs suck. Which is why I'm looking for other ways to stay active at work. I've tried the exercise ball replacing the chair bit. But that only works if I'm wearing slacks for the day.
So I'm thinking of getting a pedal bike to put underneath my desk. But does that really work? I doubt it will bring up my HR enough to burn any calories.
Anyone use one?

I pedal a bike to work sometimes, does that count?
But seriously... I can't imagine exercising while working. Can you walk (or exercise of some type) on your lunch break? Do you have stairs at your office? Get up once an hour an go do a couple flights of stairs.0 -
Kind of hard to get away from my desk. Figured this would be an easy fix lol Think I might get it anyway...but thanks.0

walking lunges to the water cooler
push ups between things
stand while you are taking phone calls
you can absolutely use a stability ball while wearing a dress/skirt- I do it all the time. They just can't be super. All mine are mid/knee length.... and I manage just fine.0 -
Yeah I'm aware that there are other things I can do around here. I do lifts at home so I'm not exactly lacking in exercise. But I was specifically asking about the bike. But thanks for the suggestions! :flowerforyou:0

I do squats when I have down time at work, hadn't thought about a pedal bike though.0

I have a pedal bike at work, just got it on Sept. 26th and so far I make it about 20 miles a day or roughly 60-90 minutes. I try to get in 15 minutes every hour but sometimes it doesn't happen so every day is different. My job requires me to be here all day long but I often have downtime, so multi tasking isn't that bad. When I do really need to concentrate I either stop pedaling or go slower. I love it though, I've also just started so can't really give any results yet.0
