Infrared sauna calories

Hi I recently started doing this thing called Infrared sauna website claims you burn about 400 calories, wondering if anyone else has experience with it or info about calories burnt. You pretty much sit in a super hot container for about 45 minutes and just sweat a lot 😂 I use it mainly for detox of body and boosts my energy. But wondering about the Calories also

The website is a lying liar that lies.

Breaking in after a couple polite replies, made me lol.

The gungy "toxins" that you shower off is dead skin that the heat and moisture has loosened.

Only if it inadvertently sets you on fire.

Actually, being set on fire would probably result in a pretty decent detox as well. Probably won’t do much for your energy, though.

Seems like it would be cold that would slightly increase your sitting calories not heat.

I don't know what "super hot" means but 45 minutes is a long time and I would be at least a little concerned about hyperthermia.

But.. but... it increases heart rate! Of course it burns more calories!

*goes off to buy herself new palpitations. Huge burns in an instant*

(yes, I avoided going post watershed here)

I have used the infrared saunas not for weight loss though, I am pretty sure the calorie count is farfetched.

Use it if you like it, but don't rely on it for calorie use or weight loss.

To be fair, there might also be environmental "toxins" on your skin from poor air quality, cigarette smoke, etc. A good hot shower and loofah will take care of those.

Yes, I used to sauna (then shower) after swimming at the pool in the gym to try to get the pool chemicals off of me.
