3rd day not drinking I usually would have a drink or two in the evening each day. Been eating healthier and quit drinking but gained weight think it's from no alchohol consumption

Make sure you're accurately tracking your caloric intake. If you truly are eating (and drinking) less calories, the water-weight will go away in a few days. You've got this - you just need to keep it up. Weight fluctuates. It may take a week or two for the changes you're making to reflect in your weight.1

When quitting alcohol, hydration is a big factor and so is blood sugar. If you also started eating on a regular schedule and/or eating more in general you could also see a spike. It's not fat, it's a water weight number. You didn't gain actual weight.
Day Three no alcohol is amazing! Stick with it, you'll never be sorry you didn't drink.
The weight thing - in three days nothing that you have done will lead to actual weight gain or loss. Stay the course, it's long-term consistency that will make a difference.3
