Rest day and calorie counting

How do you stay in your calorie range on your rest day? My rest day is today (Saturday). Normally I get a little active outside but I have an ear infection and I need to take it easy. I am trying to get used to eating less but I am so hungry!
How do others here stay on track?

Measure, count, log, and stop. If we're lucky.
Try doing some lightly engaging activity to get your mind off the subject of eating.1 -
Eat at maintenance and go back into a deficit when you’re well.6

I save calories from my more active days to help cover the days I'm less active. If you don't have any extra, then just eat at maintenance today and eat a little less when you're active in the next few days.3
