Hi I am new to MFP ๐Ÿ˜€ I am trying to input recipes into my app. Can you please tell me if you put the full ingredients in or divide the weight into individual eg 500g lean mince - should I put 500g or 100g xx TIA

If youโ€™re using the recipe builder it will ask you how many portions it serves before you log the ingredients. So, say you have 500g of mince, and it serves 5ppl then you enter the full 500g in the recipe and tell it that the recipe serves 5 portions, at the bottom of the screen (on iOS app) it then tells you the calorie count per portion as you keep adding in more ingredients. The 500g mince calories will then be divided up to 100g per portion. You then log 1 portion of the recipe in your diary by clicking โ€˜save and logโ€™

^^Exactly what she said. Another tip: when you make the title for your recipe, you might want to include a serving size so you already have this for next time you make it. E.g. I made a huge batch of chili, and found that my recipe makes 20 cups (I jarred and froze a bunch of it, so easy to measure the whole thing). So in my recipe title, I edited it to put "Homemade chili - 1 cup serving" for next time I eat it so I know how much a serving is. Or you might weigh your whole batch, and divide by say 100g - then put e.g. "100 gram serving" in your title so when you eat it again later you can weigh out how much you have and put how many multiples of 100 that is in your diary entry. Depends on how precise you are trying to be.
