I almost hit my goal by 6 pounds. I got lazy and slowed down on the gym and ate a little more. Not by much but about 300 calories a day. I should’ve known better. I gained 10 pounds. I’m lacking the motivation now. I lost 3 pounds so far. I’m strict on my calories again. I’ve lost almost 60 pounds total since I started but am in a slump. Any ideas on how to get back to the gym and my gung ho attitude I had? I gained it in about a month. Which also leads me to another question. How am I going to maintain once I get back down.

Maintenance is its own challenge, but lots of people have managed to successfully do it. The Maintaining section of the forum will probably have a lot of help for you in learning to transition to maintenance successfully so I'd check there for that.

Perhaps you need a diet break, lots of people have had success with that route. Recomp might also be an option if those last few pounds is more about the number on the scale and not so much about visual difference.

I am trying to maintain and for me, most days I need to keep weighing and tracking, but setting my MFP GOAL as my existing weight. It gives me about 1600, which I think is a tad low so I don’t panic if I am a little over. I am tightening back up right now because I regained 2-3 but I think some of that is just bloating and food in my system.
