Manually program specific routes into NordicTrack treadmill

For certain reasons, I cannot get outside to walk the way I used to. I miss the unexpected variants of the routes. Is there a way of manually programming these routes into the treadmill without getting swindled by iFit?

It depends on the TM. I had one that allowed me to create and save two programs. I had a moderately paced one and a hard one. The TM I have now has a lot of programs already created, but I don't do them all that often because they have insufficient warmup. Usually I'll just create my own program as I go so I can do a gradual progression warmup then whatever workout I want to do. I'll vary the incline and the pace. Many runs are ladder or pyramid runs, some are fartleks, some more structured intervals. On long runs, I'll try to do long uphill and downhill segments to mimic courses I've run.

Thanks. I've been doing similar. I guess I like surprise challenges and I don't like the preprograms already on my TM.
