If you know you're going to go over your calories on the weekend...

How do you counter this ? Do you ever go under your calories allowances for the other days in the week ?

Nah. All going over does is slow you down a bit so I don't bother. If you're worried about the slowing down though, you can go under for other days, as long as you're careful not to go too far under, starve and trigger a binge.0

I have higher days on weekends so my calories will be lower during the week, so I can bank them. I don't undereat or cut too many calories though since that would be counterproductive to my goals and could lead to overeating on weekends.3

Sometimes yes. I keep a weekly view on my calories and am generally a little under (50-150 calories) each day with 1-2 days over to accommodate planned social events. But if I’m hungry on any given day, I don’t stress about being over 100ish calories for a healthy snack when needed. I also try to work in an extra walk when I can to compensate.1
