Ways to alleviate abdominal muscle cramps after a workout?

So I work my abs HARD.
Like, several minutes of planking, sit-ups while hanging upside down with a 25 lb plate on my chest, etc. That kind of hard.

I get severely painful muscle cramps the 2nd or 3rd day after core day. They come out of nowhere and hurt so badly that I gasp or double over in pain. They last anywhere from 2 seconds- 2 minutes and then they're gone again.

Any ways to prevent this from happening?? I work my entire body this hard but I only seem to get cramps like this in my abdomen.
