I am a busy busy mom of three and have hardly anytime to workout. I have 45 pounds of baby weight to lose. Has anyone had success with counting calories and not being able to workout??? Any answers would he appreciated. I'd love to workout but it's really hard to be consistent and I find when I do cardio I'm more hungry I'm also still nursing my 18 month old.

You can 100% lose weight without working out. Working out will help to give you more calories to eat each day, and help tone things and is overall good for your health. But as far as actually losing weight, as long as you're under or at your calorie goal for the day you will lose weight.6 -

I work a lot... and it's a desk job. I don't usually even manage to get in 10,000 steps on an average day and I work so late that I can only manage actual exercise for a few minutes a couple days a week. Simply counting my calories very meticulously has gotten me down from 250 to 214 since March 28th. The trick is to be very honest with yourself. Sneaking extra calories and eating foods that you know are terrible for you all the time with the mantra of "anything in moderation" will not be your friend and the only person you would be hurting in the long-run would be yourself. But, it's really not too hard! And you can still eat the things you really love, just not super often. I like to cook at home every day if I can and allow myself two low-calorie snacks during the day. I only snack at night if I haven't met my minimum calorie requirement for the day yet.5 -
What do you mean you don't work out? You have three kids to take care of. That along with housework, shopping, cooking and breastfeeding are quit a work out. Not structured in a gym, but it still burns calories. God bless you.8

You totally can do it without exercise. I lost at the beginning without any exercise. It just means either you get less food or lose slower. My exercise now is just 8,000 steps per day minimum. That gives me about 150 extra calories a day. If I don't walk I just lower my intake. I've maintained now for over a year. Good luck.5

weight loss is in the kitchen.
HOWEVER, you probably move around much more than you give yourself credit for chasing three kids around no one HAS to go to the gym for weight loss. we can be active living our daily live. And you can add small things like family walks, or just parking a bit farther when you do drive places (when pheasable, obviously with three kids that isn't always an ideal option).3 -

Agree with this - there are so many ways you can just be more active other than spending time at a gym. When doing housework don't be too efficient - eg instead of assembling stuff to go upstairs/to bedrooms etc take them as you find them. Do your housework with attitude - really give that dusting/windows etc some welly - make sure you get a good work out while cleaning. Playing with the children can also burn up quite a bit; just dancing around with small children like a loon can be great for you - and fun for the children. And getting your children outside and walking/swimming/playing is good for you and so good for them too.4 -

I got hit by a car riding my bike, years ago. Continued losing weight after that, even thought I couldn't do much of anything for a few weeks. All you need to lose weight is a calorie deficit.1
