A conference of carnivores? Odd, carnivores tend to be solitary rather than social species, though there are exceptions.

In a science discussion, I'd prefer empiricism to rationalism. Plus we don't seem to have a problem with empiricism as aesthetic, but so many people treat rationality and logic as an aesthetic rather than a tool towards truth.2 -
She lost me at how a caloric restriction didn't work and her weight didn't budge. She should have explained that better because it is not scientifically possible and it makes me doubt the credibility of anything else she has to say.14

I can see where one could have a beef with that; certainly what she's serving up would be hard for me to digest if it's all sizzle and no steak.5
