Active Recovery Question

I lift weights four times a week at the gym. At the start of each session I jog for 15 minutes on the treadmill just because I like it and it burns a few extra calories. What should I be doing for my active recovery days? I'd like to add outdoor running but don't want to overdo things.

Not knowing your programming response to training its hard to advice with merit.
I would consider removing your two 15min treadmill runs on lifting days and inserting two 30min slow run, brisk walk, rowing machine, assault bike on your rest days to build your work capacity of cardio that will help with lifting long term.2 -
You could run, walk, bike, swim, do yoga, dance etc. Listen to your body. If you feel overly tired, then cut back. Otherwise enjoy some variety to your week.2
