For those who walk/run on the track

Just a small tidbit of advice I received from my personal trainer. Remember to switch the direction you are going, either halfway through your workout, or do every other one way and vice versa. The reason being is that your hips get thrown off by the constant rounding of the track so if you are always going clockwise, the inside foot moves at a shorter pace and the foot on the outside overcompensates by taking longer strides around the curved part of the track.

Hope this helps :)

    Thanks, it really did
  • Thanks! Luckily my gym makes you run one way on even numbered days and vice versa. Before I joined this gym though I was running one direction on an outdoor track. And yeah. My hips haven't been too happy these last two weeks.
