My fitnesspal have said i should be havinh 1200 cal i cannot stick to that i get to hungry i am 13st 6lbs want to lose 2lbs for now i am not very active at the moment ad i am recovering from cancer if i put my cal up to 1400 will i lose weight can anyone advice me.

Hi. You might lose weight at 1400 calories per day, but it might not be the full 2 pounds per week you're hoping for. 2 pounds a week is an aggressive target for most of us, anyway. It will depend on how active "not very active" actually is, and how well you are able to measure 1400 calories. If you use a food scale and select appropriate listings from the food database, you are more likely to have success than if you guess how many cups or ounces are on your plate and choose the listing with the lowest calories.0

It's hard to say without knowing your stats. Most people would still lose at 1400 calories. Would you be comfortable sharing your height, age, activity level?1
