Hello! New to the site and I'm looking for more motivation to help me keep moving forward in my weight loss journey. I am 23 years old, I stand at 5 feet tall (5'1 with sneakers on lol) and I weigh 250lbs. My goal weight is roughly 170-180lbs and then I'll see what's next. Here's some insight on my journey thus far...
I have gone back and forth for a long time when it comes to the topic of weight loss. One month I had ready to shell out $3,000 for a personal trainer because I am CONVINCED this time, I'm really going to do it. By the next month I find myself taking advantage of Olive Garden’s never ending pasta deal and using "I'm too busy to go to the gym" as an excuse.
Needless to say, I have been going to the gym between 3-5 times a week for the past six weeks for 45minutes to an hour and I feel great! I haven't started tracking my weight loss, because I didn't want to discourage myself if I had not lost anything and my main focus was just to get to the gym as often as I said I would and I have accomplished that. That is a great feeling.
My next step is the nutrition piece of it. With some guidance from a friend of mine who is studying to become a personal trainer, she advised me to try The Fat Smash Diet. Not so much for the weight loss part, but to teach me about portion sizes, healthy alternatives, but most importantly, making time to eat. I currently am a full time student, I work full time, and I will be completing a 16 hour a week internship for school. I am working on my BSW. With this crazy schedule, I am going to need all the help I can get to make sure i stay on track. That's where YOU ALL come in! I'm going to need all the support and motivation I can get and I am more than willing to help someone else do the same.
Well that's my introduction....it's lengthy I know, but I hope to hear from a few people who are also looking for some support.
Good Luck to us all!

Best of Luck to you on your journey!! I think one of the hardest things for me was getting my mind set to just do it!! I was very easily swayed by the sweet treats and endless buffets. Now I do my best to put my head up and push forward!!
You are welcome to add me as a friend if you would like.0 -
