    Why wouldn't it be? Unless you have a serious allergy or medical condition that would require you to avoid it, there are no 'good' or 'bad' foods. What ultimately matters is eating a balanced variety of things (for overall health) and a calorie deficit (for weight loss).

    I can't think of any reason it wouldn't be.
    Rice is a bit calorie dense, so it's important to weigh and log it. I eat rice all the time, brown and white.

    Sometimes cake is good for me (because the rich, moist, sweet taste and texture provide psychological satisfaction). Sometimes vegetables are bad for me (if I eat them not because I want them but because they're low calorie, then I feel deprived - and feeling deprived can trigger binge eating).

    Is brown rice good for you? How would I know?
