Intermittent fasting and full fasting are two very different things that should not be lumped together. Intermittent fasting is restricting your food intake to certain hours of the day as an appetite control strategy. As long as you get a proper intake of calories, that is healthy and fine to do if one chooses. Prolonged full fasting is not at all healthy and should not in any way be encouraged.
Just because certain animals can do things does not mean that it is safe for humans. Camels can go months without water, while a human will die within days. The human body needs consistent food and water for optimal health. While it can adjust to short term deprivation, there is no reason to do it and long term deprivation can cause major lasting health issues.14 -
Well, I mean we also used to do a lot of things that wouldn't make us any healthier today. At least from my point of view, I really wouldn't rather have lived back when we were living in caves, dying of diseases that are now routinely curable, and starving to death when the weather went bad
I used to do IF, and am thinking about trying to get back into it, as it really helped with appetite control. I believe discussing fasts of longer than a day or so is not permitted here for safety reasons. I tend to feel like crap when I don't eat for more than 17 or 18 hours, and I don't have the kind of life where I can just chill out and let it pass, so I have never and hopefully will never fast for longer than "intermittently". I feel very fortunate that I live in a time and place where I am able to consistently fuel my body!9 -
Dry fasting should never be promoted. Extremely dangerous13

I suggest in your first video you cover the topic of understanding the difference between surviving and thriving because they are two very different things.

Animals in nature who go weeks without food is usually due to food scarcity. Same probably followed with early humans. Why would you willingly want to replicate that?2

This is why people shouldn't put a whole lot of stock in information they find on YouTube.
Going weeks without food isn't healthy. There is a huge difference between surviving and thriving. A lot of animals who go weeks without food also die.10 -
If I'm not mistaken you are currently struggling with your ED? Please tread carefully OP you seem to be jumping from one extreme way of eating to another. Take care of yourself and find help if you can.11

I’m not aware of any pre-modern group of humans that ever went more than a day without eating. You’re making generalizations to excuse dangerous behavior.4

What is dry fasting?1

Animals also eat their young. I'm not sure that "because animals do it" is necessarily the best approach.7

Healthy and trim weight<

Animals generally go long periods without food because they can't get food. Not by choice. Be careful with that please OP.7
