In high school I was heavy into sports and weight lifting. I worked out 5-6 days a week twice a day. I had abs by the sheer fact that I was young and constantly active with friends. Not because I did a ton of abs workouts. After high school, I had no structure or set schedule to workout and I really started to hate being in public places, especially public gyms. So I stopped working out but I’m blessed with a fast metabolism so I never gained too much weight. I am 5’6” and in high school I weighed 145lbs. I now weigh only 10lbs more at 155lbs but dear God have I lost all my awesome muscles and my abs. I still have broad shoulders and a nice naturally broad chest but that’s just my body frame. I can feel how much weaker I am now. My full time job is a freelance photographer and a lot of my time is spent editing photos at my desk from home. The only exercise I get now is on photo shoots when I walk with clients for an hour around the city taking photos. My girlfriend is a model and God bless her because she doesn’t care about looks in the slightest but I want to be healthy long term for her and get my abs back for my own confidence. I’m hoping I can see good improvement in the next 3 months. I’m clearing out my garage and beginning to build a home gym with a power rack, bench, dumbbells, and even a sauna. The hardest part for me is prepping meals ahead of time. I’m a very creative person and I’ve been known to “daydream” for hours without realizing it. This makes it difficult for me to stick to a meal plan. To combat this I am leaving photos of my high school self up all over my house to snap me back into reality. I’m not sure if anyone can relate to my experience but if you can or have any advice, I’m all ears.

Thank you for that my friend. I find it very difficult to keep prepped meals fresh throughout the days when I have long days like 12hrs away from home working. Not an excuse but just something objective I notice as a main reason why I fall off the wagon almost without even noticing. I’m shifting my business model so that I can work mostly from home which will hopefully eliminate this problem. Thank you for the motivation!!
