Hi, I’m new and have only just started tracking on MFP over the last couple of weeks.
My problem is alcohol.
I really want to abstain for a while because every time I drink I end up bing eating and the rest is history.
I’m looking for support to stop drinking for a while so came on here. Do you have any tips?
I’ve not been able to stop for more than 1 week at a time.
Today is day 1.

Like by any dependancy.. Be more active, do lot of excercise, change friends, restrict places where alcohol is accesible, make good water intake... If you are really alcohol dependant you should also talk to your doctor.👍 Hold on, you get it!0

Be sure to add your alcohol calories into your diary. Unless there is a dependency issue, once you see those 'empty' calories adding up, you will likely elect to swap them with more substantial calories, on food that provides nutrients for your body. That's what happened with me. I felt that nightly glass of wine wasn't worth putting me over my calorie limit, and I cut way back.0
