Long work hours

Maybe I just need encouragement. I started a new job at the beginning of March which required me to temporarily move to a town about two hours from home. I have all but given up on the gym because I work 12 1/2 hours a day 5 days a week. My eating was fine til recently I noticed I gained a solid 4 pounds and I really want to get back on track and start losing. I am quite active the for the time I’m at my job.

So I guess I’m asking for tips or just what you do to stay on track for weight loss while working long hours. Thanks!

cut back your calories. with less movement/exercise your calorie needs are lower.

you can set up your profile to maintain (if you want to lose the few pounds then set to lose .5lb/week)/

some things you may be able to do is lots more steps whenever and wherever you can. park farther, get off a stop earlier. go to washroom more oftne just for steps.

I work long days as well, and often find it's difficult to get to the gym... so when I'm at work I just try to stay as active as possible and ensure that I have fresh vegetables and proteins available for when it's my break/meal time so I don't overindulge. Focus primarily on the nutrition.. make sure you have your meals/snacks prepped. Carry a protein bar on your person if you aren't at a desk throughout the day. Stay hydrated... get a Hydroflask and make sure you're drinking water throughout the day to help curb the hunger as well. Any chance I have, I stand and will march in place, pace, etc. I look for opportunities to walk around the building. I will park farther away from the building. I also recommend a Fitbit. It seems to encourage me to be more active while I'm at work. :)
