I signed up with a weight loss program and it did nothing for me. Since joining MyFitnessPal I'm losing about 1/2-1 pound every week......slow and steady wins the race and keeps it off. Calorie intake is EVERYTHING! I also do cardio and weight training 4xweek and love it. I was a retired couch potato for 5 years, binge watching tv and eating excessive amounts of food. I'm currently on 1200-1500 calories/day...I'm never hungry and eat, drink anything I want as long as it's within my daily intake. I'm at my 57% goal....and going strong.
