Are you having more success with macros than just calorie counting? Does regular good old cico work? I seem to be so sluggish with my weight loss and read that for this body type it is about the macros.

Body type macros are a myth.
If you are in a calorie deficit you will absolutely lose weight. It is impossible for you to do otherwise.
If your weight loss is sluggish it either means:
1) You are not in a deficit or not in as much as you think.
2) You may not be patient enough to wait for the bathroom scale to catch up
It could even be a little of both.
I will start with number 2 because I end up saying this here twice a week and sometimes more... I usually go 3 weeks in between new low weights. They always come because I am in a calorie deficit but I seldom see the bathroom scale register my fat weight loss in a linear fashion. As I recall in the last 15 months or so I have seen it less than a handful of times.
Here is a good article to read on the bathroom scale and weight fluctuations:

Back to 1. Here is a good thread to get you started on getting into a calorie deficit:

Somatotypes have been debunked repeatedly.
All people lose weight in a calorie deficit.
If you feel sluggish, there are various possible reasons, such as having a deficit that is too large or lacking in some nutrient. Macros are important for reasons of health and satiety, but are not directly related to weight loss and do not have anything to do with your “body type.”
Edited: I’m not clear on what you mean by “sluggish.” Do you mean that you feel sluggish or you believe that your weight loss is too slow?8 -
My weight loss has been way more sluggish than usual.0

how much have you lost in how much time (total)?
how much more left to lose?
has anything in routine changed (food/
exercise?)
what exactly do you mean by sluggish? how much have you lost in say the last 2-3 weeks?jellybeans37 wrote: »My weight loss has been way more sluggish than usual.

Can you be more specific? How long have you been losing weight? How much have you lost? When did it start slowing down? Are you using a food scale to log your food with MFP? Can you make your diary public so we can see if there are any logging errors that stand out?3 -
