Stalker Stories

I was stalked in high school by a guy I dated a short time. He made it known he had his fathers handgun and didn’t hesitate to show me. I was scared to death the night he knocked on the door at midnight to “talk”. He felt the need to tell me he had just left from being with a prostitute because I wouldn’t be his first.9

When I was 16, I worked as a check out girl at a small town grocery store. This 40 something year old guy would come in regularly and always come through my line. Short little guy with thick 70s style glasses, kinda awkward and would never make eye contact or speak much. He started asking people about me, my last name, phone number etc.
One Saturday evening I came home from cruising around with my friends and my mom told me a "work friend" called for me saying I left my jacket at work and needed to meet me to return it. Yeah.....I didn't leave a jacket. Turns out it was that dude. Also figured out he had been following me and my friends around that night. My parents told my bosses at work about it and every time he would come into the store after that, I was required to go hide in the women's bathroom until he left.4 -
Never been stalked myself - and way to lazy to stalk anyone else - I’m a pretty boring dude it turns out6

Yea there was a family friend’s adopted son who started parking down the street from my house.... he didn’t live anywhere near there! I would pass by his car on my way out to hang with friends or on the way back home after eating out somewhere... I got pretty creepy... but luckily his parents told him to back off after I told them lol.
Kinda stalkerish... I’ve had two customers ask me out over my WORK EMAIL which is shared with the other managers!! It was embarrassing.... I don’t know if that’s really stalkerish or just feckless.1 -
Years ago when my first daughter was in school orchestra, another girl, also in orchestra, prevailed upon me to transport both girls to and from orchestra events. I met and learned the name of the other girl's mom.
I do the grocery shopping for my family.
One day, I encountered that mother at the grocery, and we briefly chatted.
The next week, I encountered her again, and we briefly chatted.
The next week, I encountered her again, and before chatting I clearly announced that "I AM NOT STALKING YOU".
After that, there were no more encounters for several years.
Maybe she stopped stalking me.12 -
Not sure if it's interesting but I was stalked by a colleague for around 6 months. I say colleague but this was a huge organisation and we worked in two totally different departments in two different locations. She would wait outside my office trying to see me, check my diary for meetings so she could show up where I was, she'd manage to get into my office looking for me (bearing in mind my dept entrances were code-locked so god knows how she got in), she even looked up my home address and phone number on the system (I worked in a hospital so information like this was available if you'd ever been a patient) and would show up at my house and text me to come and meet her. She spread rumours about me and her at work - like we'd hooked up and I'd used her - to get sympathy from people. I ended up leaving the job and getting police involved to finally put a stop to it all.11

When i was about 14 a guy in my sisters year at school (3 years older) walked by our house to go to and from school every day. Fair enough, it was his route and that was that but then i started to notice he would wait at school until i had left and would stay behind me a few ft for the whole walk.
There were a couple days i didn't go in and when my sister would get back she would find a card for me on our porch saying "i hope you feel better soon" and stuff like that. He never did anything he just seemed to watch me all the time and know all my comings and goings. Very creepy.
Also had a guy mid 40s when i was about 20 and working in a supermarket. He came in every Saturday with his 18 month old daughter. I worked in the tech bit so she would be in awe of all the colours on the TVs and he never said much but was polite, and then i started to get messages off him asking me out on dates and saying things about me that made me feel uncomfortable. I quit shortly after and then just tried avoiding going in there when i knew he usually would be, and the messages carried on for a few months but then stopped.
There was also my crazy ex but he was less stalker and more psychopath, having other people follow me instead.5 -
1987. I had just moved from SoCal to Portland, Oregon. My brother's car was stolen. One day, he and my Dad were driving down the road and saw the car in a parking lot. My brother jumped out and took the car back. Drove it to my Dad's house. They were cleaning it up, when they came across a large amount of Cocaine in the trunk. My Dad took it into the house and flushed it down the toilet. They soon got a call from the guy that stole my brother's car. He wanted his Coke back. My Dad told him to plss off. A few days later the guy called my Dad back and described the route my Mom took home from work every night.
My Dad called me very worried. I had to fly down and take care of it.

I'm a musician. I used to play a lot of music at bars, open mics, and misc random gigs. I decided to make a youtube channel and start uploading vids of me playing the guitar or piano and singing. It was a pretty low key page. Mostly comments from friends, musicians i gigged with, and family...However one day this random guy whos profile said he was from texas commented on one of my videos. About 20 minutes after i saw the comment i got a phone call from my dad who was asking me who "Romeo Rose" was. Well, that just so happened to be the guys screen name. Apparently he called my parents house looking for me. After that, my parents would recieve flowers at their house from a flower delivery place with notes that said things like "thinking of you" from this individual. I quickly deleted my youtube channel and havent had one since!8

He never called my Father again and he never followed my Mother again. I have no idea where he is now.

Everyday I go for a run through my neighbourhood. And there is this cat. If he is outside at the same time I am he chases me down the street and then sits on my porch until I pet him. When I open the door he tries to sneak in every time.21

When using a dating app I used to Internet stalk people to see how much info I could find out about them particularly if I was going to go on a date with them. I told myself it was for safety but I just enjoyed the challenge of seeing how much I could find out. One guy I worked out his address and everything lol so I told him he needed to tighten up his privacy settings. Another I worked out he was 30 years older than he had stated and might have crossed paths with my dad.5

One of the creepiest situations I’ve been in was when I was 21 years old. As I was driving on a highway one summer day, I stopped at a service stop to go to the bathroom. This random guy in the male line tried to talk me up. I was polite but tried not to encourage it. I went to the bathroom quickly and left. As I was driving I felt as if I was being followed. At some point, that same guy drove next to me and beeped at me indicating he wanted me to exit. I was a little freaked out but I continued on my way ignoring him. Until I got off an hour and half later heading towards home. Hoping he would of continued on his way and he wasn’t in fact following me. It was simply in my head. When I noticed he was following me I decided to call the police before stopping at a convenient store instead of heading home. I didn’t want some random stranger to follow me home. He stopped as well. He ended up telling me that he followed me just to get my number. He wanted to know if I interested in being paid to help him relieve some stress. I told him that I wasn’t available and that I didn’t appreciate him following me. At that point the cops arrived.

I’ve done this too. I think we all should.
You never know who you’re going to
meet. And hey if you want a career change, you already know you’re a good PI.4 -

Have y'all ever internet-stalked yourselves just to see what you would find? I do that periodically but mostly I just try to only put stuff out there that I don't mind if it's out there1 -
My husband's ex-wife stalks me. She lives an hour away, but one morning I was running at a high school track, and I saw her car, parked in the shadows but still pretty visible. I could even see her in the driver's seat, plain as day, every time I passed that section of the parking lot as I ran my laps. I finally just waved at her, and she slammed the gas and tore out of that parking lot. I guess she thought I couldn't see her. It reminded me of when my cat "hides" by sticking his face under a curtain, but his big fluffy butt is sticking out and it's obvious where he is. My husband's ex-wife has similar hiding skills, just not as cute.8

I have two. I dated this guy when I was like 16 and we dated for awhile I forget how long but he actually had a girlfriend of 4 years I didn’t know about so I was the girl he was cheating on her with, so when I found out I ended things (he had a whole other Facebook he had me blocked from so I didn’t know he was dating her) but after I ended it the guy stalked me for like 2 years after. I mean come to my house and just sit there in his car. The last time he did (I think that was the last time) he put a mixed cd on my porch with a 10 page love letter and flowers (HE WAS STILL DATING THAT GIRL) and when I went outside to take my dog out it was pitch black and I seen all the stuff sitting there and no lie he started walking up my driveway I ran back inside and my dad came outside and threatened to beat his *kitten* and then called the police. The girl even stalked me for a couple years after too I blocked her and him and she would make new profiles just to try to talk to me. It was all super weird.
But the second story is actually still happening. So I have this girl that’s literally obsessed with me and my husband. Her and my husband hung out like once months before we started dating and she got a boyfriend and got pregnant then tried to claim it was my husbands baby! Then after it was proven not to be, she still posts on all social media how my husband is a dead beat dad to her son, WHICH HE ISNT EVEN THE FATHER OF. Then she went to my husbands baby mama (my stepson is 8 now) and swabbed my stepsons mouth for a DNA test and told my husband it came back positive for his. I’m like you do realize that would mean my stepson is your baby’s father right?? 😂 but then she would send us Christmas cards of her son in the mail (don’t even know how she got our address) and she posts on social media how she would love for me to be her sons stepmom, but then moved literally to the same town we live in (it’s a very very small town) and I’ve seen her driving past my house multiple times very slowly just staring.6 -
I don’t have a stalker or stalkee story but my kids had a 60s themed spring concert and when they sang Happy Together i thought that the overly, shall we say, optimistic lyrics combined with the minor key suggesting unrequited love would be a perfect opener for a movie about a serial killer who stalks and kills women who reject him.
That was a long and awkwardly worded sentence. Enjoy!9 -
