Fresh veggie ideas for school lunch

Options
Hey!
My biggest boy starts Kindergarten on Friday and I am trying to come up with some fresh veggie ideas for his lunch box. He loves celery and carrots with ranch or peanut butter so I have that covered. He isn't big on cucumbers though. Any fun healthy ideas for his lunch box? I tried googling it but couldn't see anything that great. I might Pinterest it too. Thanks!

Also, if you google bento box ideas and then click on google images, you'll see gobs of ideas and many of them lead to blogs/sites that give instructions. My kid's don't have Bento boxes, but I have gotten some good ideas for what to put in their baggies lol.

I'm getting read for back to school right now too, and plan on spending some time on pinterest tonight getting ideas :)

For veggies exclusively: Does your son like cherry tomatoes (fruits, but close enough)? Those are fun bite-sized snacks. Adding pretzels to your son's lunch makes it tasty and fun, too. They are also types of carrots and potatoes that are basic tan color, and also come in reddish and purple colors, which can make a really colorful addition. Slice it in his lunch.

Kids love granola bars, breads/rolls, cheese, so get creative. Writing notes or making fun shapes is cool too. Remembering from when I was in elementary school/kindergarten, I loved fruits like grapes, banana and strawberry (except they get mushy fast). Pretzels, cheese sticks, and rice krispies/granola bars were favorites.

Sugar Snap Peas are really good, as well as Red, Yellow and Orange Bell Pepper strips (or you can get a package of mini peppers). Both are slightly sweet and yummy.

My son loves sugar plum tomatoes (smaller and oval as opposed to round cherry tomatoes), mini carrots, persian cucumbers (smaller and sweeter), sugar snap peas.

when I have kids I will do what this woman does. she makes them bento box lunches which not only are packed with essential food groups, but she makes the food look cute (and easy) which helps the kids have fun eating them.
