Hi! I'm new here.....

Hi everyone. I am hoping to finally make a change and heard lots of good things about MFP. I hope to lose about 40 pounds which doesn't sound too bad but I have a desk job and am not super motivated. Along with a no/low carb eating plan, we are planning to walk approximately 2 miles a day at lunch and then start going further and doing some weekend hiking. I joined the gym but a treadmill just isn't for me. So here I am!!

    I think motivation builds as you feel better. Sounds like you have some support buddies. That helps a lot.
