My name is Kay and I have been trying to loose weight for years. I've grown up with weight issues and imso tired of it. It's making me depressed and I have to do something about it. I spent 50 on this app and im not eating anymore money on failed attempts I have to do better.

@Kenickay Congratulations on the first step ... getting the app! Make sure to log your food 'everyday'. It's a pain but I believe a MUST. You're able to see trends, and the calories in your meals will jump out at you immediately. You don't have to exercise to lose weight, but maybe some moderate exercise like walking could be helpful. Be sure not to overstate your exercise calories if you input them into the app though. Most users think that MyFitnessPal's exercise calorie estimates are too high. Do you have a fitness tracker? Not really needed, but I think more accurate. If you walk (for the best accuracy), you need to know your pace and distance. If you don't have a fitness tracker watch, you can use a free app on your phone. I've used Runkeeper for years. I still use it, even though my family got me a watch for Mother's Day last year. Last thing ... a food scale is helpful. Relatively inexpensive and let's you know exactly how much you're consuming. I hope some of this is helpful. Feel free to friend me if you wish. Good luck!1

In my experience, the key to keeping the weight off is losing at a more leisurely pace and focusing on learning how to eat in a way that's enjoyable and practical for you at the right calorie level for the rest of your life, not just for weight loss. :drinker:2 -
Take your time...Rome wasn't built in a day. It is fun to count everyday. Don't spend money on this...just get into a calorie deficit everyday...0
