Plastic in vitamins?

Question for the chemistry and nutrition experts ... I’ve noticed that a lot of vitamins and amino pills are encapsulated with some sort of inert plastic. Is this a bioplastic? There is something about willfully ingesting plastics that doesn’t sit well with me (pun intended).
Here’s a picture of what I’m talking about:

Capsules are made of gelatin. There's also a vegan variety made of vegetable cellulose. No plastic involved.
Your stomach acid dissolves the capsule fairly quickly, which then disperses the medication or supplement.14 -
Not plastic....absorbable gelatin.
Plastic would never fly with the fda.

You can actually order them online and make your own pills.
