Adding food to my diary

I'm meal prepping and trying to follow a meal plan however when I search for a food item or scan the bar code I don't have the option of saying I ate a certain amount of grams. For example the meal plan I'm following says one of my meals should consist of 250 grams of quinoa. How do I add to my food diary that I ate 250 grams of quinoa when the serving size only give me the option of milliter, fluid ounce or tbsps? Thanks in advance for your help!

The easiest thing to do is to create your own entry in My Foods that uses grams. This also lets you customize item names.
It takes some time to enter your own foods initially but saves time in the long run. I don't share with the general database to avoid cluttering it and so that no one besides me can edit my items.1 -
I don't see the option to to use grams in My foods.Where can I change my settings so its only in grams mobile app of desktop? I came across a food item I searched and it was quinoa and its serving size is 100 grams. So I just changed the serving size to 2 1/2 and I got my 250 grams of quinoa. Not sure if I'll have the option gram option with every food I search or scan.0

You have to type item information into My Foods yourself. If you enter the Serving Size in grams, you'll be presented with the option to use grams when you log the food.1

I can get to My foods tab. But I only have the option to search for food or tap +. If I tap the + I can do a quick add, scan bar code, create meal, recipes or food. Am I on the right path so far?0

If you tap +, the bottom item is Create a Food. That's where you'd enter the info for your item so that you could customize things like the item's name and the unit that you use.
I find it easier to use the website to enter items into My Foods.
