Looking for Seniors that use the gym and how they overcome age related roadblocks(arthritis etc)

I'm 64. I've been working out regularly since 2012.
I think consistency is key. I always do a gentle warmup. Ten different moves - takes 5 to 10 minutes. The treadmill is also good if you prefer that for a warmup.
In the beginning, I would get delayed muscle soreness the next day after a strenuous lifting workout. But I can't remember the last time I was sore after a workout.
Regarding arthritis - I'm probably lucky, in that I only have a mild case in my hands. It comes and goes without warning - I take naproxen if the pain is distracting. And it doesn't usually affect my workout.
Listen to your body. I will stop a lifting workout if I get twinges in a muscle or something doesn't feel right. Usually I am fine for the next workout a couple of days later.0
