Myfitnesspal has been awesome for me. Realized I needed to do something when I hit 186 this winter. Started using MFP to track calories (I weigh most of my food to be accurate) and began exercising daily, alternating 2-3 miles of walking and 20-25 minutes of bodyweight circuit training. Was aiming to get down to 165 (I'm 5'11") and just dropped to 164 this morning! Best of all, I feel great and love how I look. I've really struggled in the past with disciplining myself not to eat lots of junk food, but found that by tracking what I eat and holding myself accountable, I am actually pretty good at it. WIll definately be continuing with MFP to maintain where I am at.

This also got me thinking about other aspects of my life where self-discipline has been lacking, and I just started using YNAB (You Need a Budget) to track my finances and spending. It feels very similar to MFP in the way it forces you to make conscious choices on what you spend (eat).

Anyhow, just letting everyone know that it can be done.

I'm trying to improve in a few areas of my life right now. The great thing is that when you improve in one area, it helps in other areas. Good luck!
