TDEE and BMR

I know there are a ton of posts about this, but I have read through quite a few and am still pretty confused (sorry!! I promised I tried to google, read, and look up other forums).
Okay, this is what I am understanding (which is potentially super wrong).
Lets say your TDEE is 2000. Do you take that number multiply it by 7 for the weeks numbers, so 14000. Then subtract 3500 per pound as anticipated loss, so 10500.
THEN divide that by the number of days in a week, so 1500 a day??
If you have a great article you think will explain this to me in a pretty simple way, I'd appreciate it. Or if you can explain it, again, I would greatly appreciate it.

That looks like one way to manipulate the numbers, yes.

For weight loss? All you have to do is -500 off your TDEE0

Your the best. Thats basically what I wanted to know!!0 -
Or you could take 3,500 and divide it by 7. This equals 500. Subtract 500 from 2,000. Equals 1,500. This is your daily calorie budget.
What are you confused about exactly? It looks like you understand the premise....0 -

I understand now.
The original post was my unconfirmed understanding. I wasn't sure if I understood correctly or not, which is why I was asking. I appreciate your help, it definitely makes sense now/I am glad to know I understood correctly.
