A little confused about what’s the best way to set your tracker if as sedentary and eat a portion of the extra cals you burn (Fitbit) or choose your correct level and get less credit for activity and why???

I set myself as sedentary on MFP and Fitbit, sync them, and eat my exercise calories.
Why? Because my activity level varies from one day to the next and I'd rather the calorie goal start low and increase based on my activity level, instead of start out higher and possibly end up with a negative adjustment.
FWIW I probably average out to lightly active.
I'm not really sure if this is the best way, even just for me personally, but it made the most sense to my brain when I started, I'm used to it now, and I was successful.4
