Hey MFP fam! So I’m somewhat a veteran MFP user (2010) but I created a new account for a fresh start this time around. I’m 32 and a new mom. I’m literally at a point in my life where it’s harder to admit my age than my impeding obesity. I’m hitting the one year postpartum mark, and it’s time for me to start focusing on losing the rest of my baby weight. I remember people telling me that between breastfeeding and running around after a toddler the weight will just melt right off. Now I realize those are just lies people tell pregnant women and I need to put in actual work. I have an additional 20lbs to lose and looking for some active and mutually supportive mfp friends with similar goals- bonus if you’re a new mommy just trying to figure it out. I’m using the simple calories in/calories out method, so if you are keto, reading my daily carb intake may take you out of ketosis.

A little about me so we can make a MFP friend connection. I was previously very fit before pregnancy. I am blessed with an inherited apple shape so I perpetually look 9 months pregnant even when I’m not - but the legs are always slaying (fellow apple ladies, amiright?). My old goal when I was 25 (and thought I was fat but actually skinny and so ungrateful) was to get my stomach toned enough for a belly button ring (wow), and now my goal is to make it out of my pregnancy yoga pants I’m still wearing. My ultimate pipe dream is a set of skinny arms, you know for the pictures. Ladies with thick upper arms you know what I’m talking about.

My guilty pleasure is Housewives and anything Bravo-related. My favorite food is waffles. They have to be crispy with butter AND syrup. That would be my real housewives tagline. I’ve never seen Game of Thrones (it literally sounds worse and worse the more people try to describe it). I lived my best life enough for 5 people in my mid-twenties so now I just enjoy being a mom who gets wild on a Friday night by walking a couple miles at the park with a stroller. I like being fit equally to lounging. In the words of Heather McMahan, I like to do the most and the very least. If this sounds like you, message me with your real housewives tagline and let’s be friends! 😂

This post wasn’t that serious but I am serious about being MFP friends with disciplined individuals who share similar goals. Having a community of motivated friends is always easier for me when it comes to being accountable. Wishing success and happiness for everyone!
