I am New to this so could do with some help! I’m 50 and in peri menopause so trying a low carb diet. How do I work out my percentage of nutrients to help my weight loss?

I had good results using the method described here to set my macros: http://community.myfitnesspal.com/en/discussion/819055/setting-your-calorie-and-macro-targets
It's not specifically geared towards low carb, but the important take-away is to pick a setup and adjust as you go. There's no one right way to set your macros so play around with it and see what you like best.2 -

Since carbs had controlled me for at least 40 years prior to going low carb setting a carb goal was Job #1 in my case. I found out will power does not work and had to just make a decision to eat no more than 50 grams daily of carbs (the number was my choice) because 150 grams or less is considered low carb. The fats and protein macros just evolved in the first few weeks with some mods over the last 5 years.
I questioned if I was going to die in the first two weeks of low carb but the cravings started to fade fast after the first two weeks and that was back in Oct 2014.
