Like a lot of us who are this age (I'll be 60 in July) it's not only more difficult to lose weight-but I've come to realize after losing my BEST FRIEND 4 yrs ago to cancer that she was MORE than a best friend, she was my life! We always kept each other accountable on LIFE because we were truly closer than sisters! Now I realize to find another Joyce is impossible BUT I have to BELIEVE if it's just this ONE issue (weight) I should be able to - right? When I "diet" I really work at it (not perfectly) but I do so much better WITH a CLOSE and CARING friend! I have put on 35 lbs in these 4 yrs of grief and it's TIME to change (actually I started a couple days ago and lost 2 lbs) but I'd rather have someone to laugh with, cry with, share life with! Sharing little by little and making this a life long friendship would truly be a blessing. So I'm throwing this out here and seeing what happens. Again, I'm not here to judge you, I'm here to be a true friend so those times when you naturally want to cry or beat yourself up, I will be the ear you've been longing for too! No one understands this addiction but another sufferer! I also KNOW we can do this! I'm a yo-yo'er but I have a goal to get back and then when I choose to "bounce" I don't care as long as I don't go over 5 lbs of what I call "fun" because I want to enjoy LIFE - not suffer thru it any longer! I pray the right person see's this - please send me a note! Yana
