Do your research before you even start. If you don't have a solid grasp on the diet, than it will only cause you a lot of issues.
In general, keep carbs below 50g (could be higher if you are active). Most keep them between 20-50g. Keep protein moderately high, especially during dieting. In general, it should be around 1.5-2.2g/kg of bw or a good goal is .8 to 1g per lb of your goal weight. Third, sodium consumption should be 3500mg+. I generally like it when i am closer to 5000mg. And lastly, and I can't stress this, don't worry where fat falls out. So many people focus way too much on get more and more fat, that it can lead to over eating.5 -

If you feel sluggish, it's not a guaranteed symptom of keto and people tap out.
Electrolytes are important and not enough will cause fatigue, headaches, body aches, etc. Keep up that sodium and supplement potassium and magnesium if you feel icky. (Look up keto-ade for an easy way to do so).0 -
This app is very helpful in being able to track a diet with 75% fat, 20% protein and 5% carbs which is a Keto diet target. Logging everything you consume is a real eye opener. Best of luck!3

I can't recommend Dr. Ken Berry's channel on youtube highly enough. It was a valuable resource for me when I started keto five months ago, and still is. He's a real M.D. practicing in Tennessee who has done keto successfully himself, and his videos are entertaining and informative. If you can think of a question, he's got an answer!

There's also lots of channels with great keto recipes, like Headbanger's Kitchen, Keto Connect and CJ's Keto Kitchen. Good luck!0
