Gained a stone in 2 weeks?

I came back from holiday yesterday and before I left I was 8st 13 and now I’m 10st I weight myself this morning and I was 3lbs less but that still means I’ve gained like 11lbs. Feel very miserable and like I shouldn’t have gone on holiday :( is this normal and how can I lose the weight quick

What kind of holiday? Did you over drink and over eat to the tune of close to 3000 calories above maintenance each and every day?

I mean I can have a 5000 calorie day. But if I did it everyday for a week I would probably remember!!!!

Thus, as everyone is saying, return to your normal routine and relax. Most will go away over this next week and there is no benefit to making things more difficult for you when it comes to taking off the rest of it!

As you can already see from today, it is mostly water weight which means it will come off quickly. You should continue to see losses over the next several days. Return to your normal routine and give it a couple of weeks.

    I recently had a 10-day holiday and gained 5lb.
2lb of that was water weight that came off more or less right away.
When I thought realistically about how much I over ate (& drank) then I divided my estimate by 3,500 calories per lb, and funny only thing, bang on the 3lb that I’d gained! Whilst I knowingly over ate and treated myself I still wouldn’t say I went to excess, only 1-2drinks per night for example. It’s not that hard for me to overeat by 1500cal/day. But then some ppl will have a much higher BMR than myself at 5’5 and 120lb.

OP, just a couple weeks ago you had another thread where you complained of some pretty serious digestive issues after coming back from another two week holiday, but couldn't see a doctor for couple weeks after getting home. Hopefully you got help getting better and were able to enjoy this holiday. Water weight after a trip is normal and usually flushes out after a few days. It seems like getting home gives you some anxiety though.

Oh, is it that OP again? 😖

The last holiday you went on you didn't poo for two weeks and then were waiting for a doctors appointment in another two weeks.

Firstly, did you get your poo issue sorted out? I am sure we would all like to know the outcome of your visit to the doctor as I don't think you came back to that thread to update us.

And secondly did you poo on this holiday? If not then this would account for a lot of the gain, the rest is probably water weight from different foods, alcohol, etc.
