Hi, I am a 47 yr old male, and I recently learned I have fatty liver disease. This has provided me with new motivation to get healthy!!!
I am 5’8.5” and have been around 206 lbs for the past couple of years. Over the years I’ve occasionally been able to motivate myself to get down to around 190, but I always bounce back to the 200’s. I was always a heavy weekend drinker, but rarely at all during the week.
I have found some serious new motivation with this recent diagnosis as I have a young son and I want to be here to see him get old!!!! Hahahaha.
I have essentially cut out alcohol completely (have had maybe one drink a week for social reasons) and have been eating healthy and targeting net 1500 calories a day to target weight loss of 2 lbs a week. I am 13 days into MFP this go around and it’s going great.
I am looking for motivation and new friends to keep me in track here!
