Losing weight and maintaining the loss is all about establishing healthy habits (which is all about building self-discipline). I ran across this excellent article about self discipline that is very appropriate for anyone on a weight loss journey as well as being more broadly applicable. It talks about the role of motivation and support as an importantant implement in developing the self discipline that is needed for longterm success. Worth reading once and bookmarking to reread periodically.

I like it. Plan some actionable steps. Weight loss too often defines discipline in term of the ability to suffer through a bunch of don’ts.1
