MFP says 1430 to lose weight. I am 5'3 and 154 lbs. I lift weights 5xs a week and I am muscular. I would like to lose 10 maybe 15 lbs. I used a TDEE calculator and it gives me 1,832 for Iight exercise. That's more then MFP.
I'm confused. How many calories should I eat? 😁

MFP expects you to add your exercise calories back in and eat them. TDEE does not. When you add back the exercise calories, your MFP # and TDEE # should be close to the same.4

TDEE calculators include your exercise calories. MFP's method goes by NEAT, which doesn't include exercise calories. So you probably could use either. Try one for a couple months and see how it goes. Just remember that little weight will come off slowly.1

The TDEE calculator has taken your exercise into account.
With MFP which calculates your NEAT you log and eat back your exercise calories.
They should more or less align.
I got 1200 from MFP, and added ~200 for exercise. When I was consistent 5x a week my TDEE and MFP numbers were interchangeable.
Try one method and be willing to adjust depending on results. All these calculators are estimates only.
